Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS 04/10/2024 from nobbys newcastle
well i was lucky enough to get to image the comet looking out over Nobbys beach Newcastle, after many days of cloud and rain. it was a last window of opportunity to image the comet. with a fast approaching front of high cloud coming we were treated to a nice spectacle. hunting for the tail to position the camera it would have been great to image the comet the week before in darker skies before dawns cruel light.
its a stack of 8 8 second images with canon ra and 70-200mm lens at 100mm and f4 . stacked in deepsky stacker and processed in pixinsight

Hi David,
Very nice shot and a beautiful background colour.
Joe
Yes I was watching it come in behind us. Thanks for spotting that tail in the widefield, it certainly helped to frame it up and anticipate the comet nucleus
