DIY Automatic Polar alignment

I was wondering if anyone has made a DIY polar alignment system out there. I know there is a post for one for the AM3. It requires a lot of 3D printed gear.

Im tempted to to do something with off the shelf high precision stepper motors. like https://www.moonsindustries.com/c/hi...yb60ELqt8XJqY4

Even if it wasn't automated it would be good for fine tuning the polar alignment remotely for example.

Avalon has a universal system but it costs about 2.5K aud after shipping and taxes to Australia. Surprised there is not much competition in this space

Once ZWO come up with the mythical Rotator, we should start pestering them for APA (automatic polar alignment)

Given the smoothness of alt/az controls on the AM3/5 mounts, it would seem like an achievable upgrade (or ? 3rd party retrofit) without needing the heavy duty motors that an EQ6 might need.
