Black Hole & Black Spot (B92 & B93)

I noticed these two prominent dark nebulae in a wide field Ha mosaic I was doing about a week ago and decided to take a closer look at 700 mm. The nights have been frustratingly clear with poor seeing and windy, so guiding was hit and miss- in the end this was completed over 4 nights. I think I actually prefer the Ha image on its own but the final version is in HaRGB.

UV/IR cut approx 4 hours of 60s
6nm Ha approx 3 hours of 300s

Gary that’s a very very cool shot. Wonderfully detailed and so natural I feel like I’m there. Just perfectly framed too. Great stuff!

Good catch Gary. The Barnard Catalogue has a good collection of objects that are worth chasing

Thanks that's much appreciated as I agonised over the processing to try and do it some justice.

Thanks as well...I try and avoid the B's normally unless I'm in the blue mountains but these seem pretty conspicuous even in Bortle 7.
