Hi all,
Due to the bad east-coast weather it has been ages since I've been able to image anything. This is something I've wanted to try for a while: combining narrowband and broadband in wide-field imaging.
I managed 2.5 hours of narrowband from home (Bortle 7) and a quick trip up to a friend's place (Bortle 3) before an early moonrise allowed me to capture another hour of unfiltered OSC covering the same region. It's all a bit of an experiment at present and although I captured some OIII as well as Ha I feel it didn't add much to the final image, so I now think it looks best in HaRGB.
In addition to the Prawn Nebula ,IC 4628, you can see the Dark Tower (top centre) and the Dark Wolf (centre right).
Narrowband: ZWO ASI2600mc, Antlia ALPT2 filter @f3.2
Broadband: Pentax K-5iis DSLR (modified) @f2.8
Both captured using the same Samyang 135mm f2 lens
