Lunar Sunday 23/6/24

Hi All
Some of my favourite times to view or image the Moon is 1 or 2 days before and after Full. Combining that with good seeing and clear skies means not that many opportunities during a year. Thankfully it came together last Sunday evening and I managed to capture some of the more prominent features along the limb of the 15th day of the cycle.
All captured with an 180mm Mak @f15, HEQ5 and a ZWO290mm + Red filter. Best 25% of 2000 frames, in Autostakkert and Registax.
I'm pretty pleased about how they came out, seeing makes so much difference, but you know that anyway.

Cheers

And a few more just for adding to the clutter.

I don't know about clutter - I think they're damn good! Some great detail there, well done.

Hi Jeff,

Great set. Langrenus is the stand-out for my money. The peak shadows are crisp and dramatic.

Thanks Warren and Richard, your encouragement is appreciated. My favourite ! is the Atlas Hercules Endymion image, if I had to choose. The composite Chrisium Cleomedes also came out well.
Can I have some more clear skies and good seeing please.

Cheers

Nice lunar images Jeff.
My preferred shot is the one of Janssen.
Well done.
