Perfectly collimated scopes

Hi
Houghy bought over his Vixen 8 inch f4 Newtonian, along with his Catseye collimator http://www.catseyecollimation.com/
Got the Vixen showing just the 1 triangle as per instructions, then checked out my 6 inch f3.6 Cometracker, only to find out that it was out quite a ways, so git it perfect too

The Cateseye can be fiddly but only because it is so precise, you literally have perfect collimation for it to be showing the correct result. The slightest adjustment easily shows up. Now all we need is clear weather so we can use our collimated scopes

no I think the scopes are robust enough to be OK to breathe......but the weather knows that there are two precise machines available for photon collections - hence the wet long weekend predicted.

Never having mucked around with a netonian before Scott was invaluable in his help and instruction. I fully recommend the catseye, thanks Mike Sidonio, well worth the money. Like you, all we need now is the opportunity to get results. I know scott is itching to get that comet tracker out

Great report Scott and Houghy, good to know the Catseye's worth it.
