Hi Louie

Is the NJP more suited to the FS152, rather than the EM-200? I just received my EM-200 last month and it is a beautiful mount. I haven't had the chance to really put it through its paces yet, but it has performed very well so far in ad hoc tests in the back garden.

Be prepared for a loss of a lot of electronic/software functionality compared to the SS2K - I have the GPDX and V 2.05. The Vixen is a brilliant mount and the SS2K is probably the best GoTo there is. I have the Temma-2 which I use with a PDA and TheSky Pocket Edition as well as The Sky on my notebook computer.

Some of the operations on the EM-200 seem quite archaic, an example being that to get it to track for the Southern Hemisphere, you have to press and hold button S1 and then turn the power switch on. If you forget, the mount starts in the default N Hemisphere mode - every session!

You will enjoy the look, feel and performance of the Tak mount, they just feel incredibly solid and well engineered.

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Dennis ,yes you would be right on that. The NJP would be a better match for the FS152. I'm not sure I will go the big 6" more likely I'll get the FSQ 106 for imaging. I will wait and make a final dicision If my gear sells and how much money I can raise.
I don't want a goto this time Im sick of the noise,I will just go DSC probably the Argo navis . Anyhow Its still all in the wind at the moment . Another thing I hate is cables all over the place ticks me off!
