SVBony telescopes

Can any one comment on quality of SVBony scopes. I was looking at the 122mm triplet.

I see eBay has them listed at the moment, excellent price if you are an eBay plus member, eBay item number : 275931947709 I've bought a few SVbony adaptors, eyepieces and accessories and found them to be of excellent quality and well priced. I'm particularly impressed with the recent purchase of their 3mm-8mm planetary zoom eyepiece both optically and mechanically.

Can't comment on the 122 Triplet but I have an 102 ED Doublet that , to me, is well made and gives a nice diffraction ring pattern either side of focus so the optics are of a good standard. Mechanically it is well made and robust with a nice 10/1 R&P focuser , much better than a Crayford. Hope that helps your decision making.

Other end of the spectrum but I recently purchased an SVBony microscope cheap and it is amazing quality, optically and mechanically. I won't hesitate to look at their equipment in the future if I need anything.
A friend is a local high school science teacher and I've told him about their trinocular because he wants to drop a camera in while viewing, it's at the cheaper end of trinocular pricing but if it's anything like the bino model I purchased it's well worth a look.

One mention, SVBony Aus on ebay are far cheaper than their own store on AliExpress.

Interesting. When I bought my guide scope + camera package from them about a year ago now, it was cheaper to go directly to their website. Even with the 'International Currency Exchange Fee' (which I did not expect), it was cheaper than their Oz eBay store.

Also, their eBay store carries a lot fewer items these days.

Regards,
V.

I have the SVBony 122 - its my first large refractor, and I love it. No complaints about build quality, and even though it apparently doesnt use the most premium glass it doesnt show any false colour to my eyes.
