Orion M42

Well.....

It's that time of year.....again.

The Great Orion and Running Man nebulae .

Skywatcher 72ED
.8 focal reducer
Zwo 1600mc cool, gain 138
Skywatcher AZEQ6

100 x 10 seconds.

First light for the ZWO 1600mc.

Some back focus problems but nothing
too serious that can't be fixed.

Full Moon with average seeing.

Very pleased with the results.

I'm sure it will be the first of many !

Thanks for looking.

Paul.

Well done Paul - nice to see such a wide field of view of this region.

M42 can be a real beast to image because it has so much contrast between the super-bright core and the darker nebula regions.

Very well done image - keep it up.

Cheers,
V
