NGC6888 Crescent Nebula

Imagine my surprise/delight when I realised I could see some of the higher gems in Cygnus (to the north) albeit looking into the muck of Brisbane's light dome, and, skimming above my neighbour's roof tops. End result - a bugger of an image to process! I did however manage to extract some detail in the nebula and some Oiii too - yay! The reality is, given my suburban location, this needs double the integration time but it'll have to wait until next year. Details are:

SW120ED, ASI294MC, Antlia Ha-Oiii filter
88x240s = 5hrs 52mins (over 4 nights)
Integrated in APP, processed in PI and PS.

Thanks for looking. Alex

Very Nice! Do you have a high res version online somewhere? I really love to see all the nebulosity inside the "brain" up close.

I managed to image it earlier this year from Coffs Harbour, now that is Low on the horizon! I think my only saving grace was that the light dome of Coffs Harbour is no where near as intense as Brisbane!

Thanks Dave, Carl and Josh. Hires is here but it's rather large due to using drizzle integration. Alex
