QHY8l problem

Hello folk,
For a couple of years I have happily used my QHY8l camera and N.I.N.A. for my image capture, all well. I especially like the display of each frame by NIINIA as the evening progresses.Last night the display of the first three frame was normal but the fourth stopped halfway through the image and subsequent image displays were black with white vertical striping. I checked the memory available, there was plenty. So I packed up and retired.
I thought that the problem was either with NINA or the camera. So tonight I tried “frame and focus” in Nebulosity. It received absolutely nothing from the camera.

When I ran the three frames that did apparently download through Astropixelprocessor all the stars were shown blue and the star colour algorithm could not be used as APP stated that it was not a RGB image.
Has anyone any idea what is going on and what I might do to rectify the problem?
Chris

I've not had the luxury of using a decent camera beyond my Nikon DSLR but from experience with electronics it really sounds like it could be a signal cabling issue.
I may be VERY incorrect in my assumption but it's usually a good place to start.
And if I am wrong (which I may very well be) I apologise!

Thanks

Thanks Leo,
That was my first guess so I reseated the USB cable. Unfortunately it is not a standard USB cable so I will hunt up the appropriate sort .

deeper prolem

well the replacement USB cable at least allowed the camera to connect. but today when an exposure is downloaded the only result is a wide white vertical stripe on a black background. So now to start a conversation with QHYCCD.

Chris I don't have time tonight (this morning, it's 1AM) and I have to drive to Katoomba early tomorrow morning but if I get a chance tomorrow afternoon I'll do some research and see if I can find anything.
My son was saying USB is different because it's a digital signal, not as simple as an analogue signal through a normal graphics type cable which I'm familiar with, that and TV technology.
I'm a former electronics engineer but I forget so much these day, my brain has long turned to mush (brown hair turned grey, grey matter turned brown) but I will do some research and see if I can find anything out and let you know.

glaiciers

Thanks Leo.In the meantime I have sent support request to QHYCCD ,they have got back to me asking for a screen dump which I don't have. So I used Nebulosity to generate a JPEG file from the captured FTTS and sent them that..
I hope this issue does not proceed with the celerity of a constipated glacier.
