Kits available locally?

There seem to be a few American and Canadian companies which sell telescope kits: seems to me to be a neat way of getting a good scope more cheaply.

I haven't been able to find any Australian distributors though, or anybody locally who sells such kits.

But maybe I haven't looked hard enough... do such kits exist locally?

r i meaning a kit to convert a solid tube Dobsonian to a truss [your mirror but use their parts] ? IF SO i don't think we have here in Australia

or do you want a kit which contains, mirror/tube & everything to assemble a telescope check telescopes-astronomy in SA

I know when I was researching big dobs before I bought my 20", I spoe to Peter Read at SDM and he offered to work out a price to directly import through him an Astro Systems Telekit. These are not at the level of an SDM, although I know Peter uses some of their parts in his scopes.
I may be worth giving him a ring.
