I refurbished this Alt Az mount a little while ago and finally got round to finding a telescope for it.
My plan was just to have this as a decoration piece but my wife disagrees. However it is fully functional and would be great for casual observing and showing kids or family the night sky.
Mount:
- Clamshell Alt Az with tension adjustment
- Wooden tripod sanded and revarnished
- Mount stripped, sanded, repainted, regreased
- All surface rust removed on other exposed parts
Telescope:
- Practically brand new Celestron Powerseeker Newtonian
- 114mm Diametre and 900mm Focal length
- F8
