NGC5101 and NGC5078

Here is an image of NGC5101 and NGC5078 captured at Swan Reach Imaging. Two galaxies which lie in the constellation of Hydra at a distance of 89 million light years (the light I captured left those galaxies during the age of the dinosaurs). Both galaxies are around 800,000 light years away from each other too.

Image integration was 26 hours. Data was taken over a couple of months.

It's a lovely image Paul with an apparent wide vista of beautiful objects set against a nice dark sky. Amazing to look at.

Best
