Monthly Photography Challenge?

Hi guys.

Just an idea, akin to the Monthly Observing Challenge.. anyone interested in participating in a monthly photography challenge?

That is, each month a topic is nominated, and the challenge is for everyone to take a picture to do with that topic/object.

Eg: topics could include things like sunrise, sunset, landscapes, family, spring, autumn, water, light, reflections, bridges, etc

or whatever.. you can take the topic literally or artistically, it's completely up to you.

I just want to see if there's enough interested people to use their film cameras, digicams & digital SLR's to participate in it.. if there's only 2 or 3 people posting it might not gain enough excitement

The good thing about this is, you can do it during the day and you don't need expensive astrophotography equipment or tracking mounts Just a point and click camera, and you can still join in.

You don't need to actually take the photo during that month either, but if you want to, then all the better. If there's enough interest, we can have voting to choose the favourite picture each month, and the winner gets to choose the topic for the next month.

Interested? Suggestions? Comments?

A dam good idea i think. There must be a lot of cameras out there, a good way of seeing where people live, there suroundings, there workplace or what ever. I better see if i can do something with my sons web cam as thats the only cam we have here, sad isn`t it.
Come on you peoples, this could be good fun i think.

Now that I have a camera, I'm in.

Even if I didn't have a camera it would be fun to see what people submit.

(sing-song) I finally got a camera, I finally got a camera.

Letter box challenge.
There must be some interesting letter boxes out there, classic ones, weird ones, nice ones, strange ones. Everyone has some kind of letter box.

No, it doesn't have to relate in any way to astronomy.
