NGC 6164: Dragon's Egg Nebula and Halo.
This is a rework processing some old data in a new way. Bloody clouds won't leave me alone so I will keep learning and get better at post processing. This planetary nebula is located in the constellation Norma, in the southern celestial hemisphere. A planetary nebula is a type of emission nebula formed when a dying star (typically a low to intermediate mass star like our Sun) sheds its outer layers, creating a shell of ionized gas and dust. Also like many planetary nebulae, NGC 6164 has been found to have an extensive, faint halo, revealed in blue in this deep telescopic image of the region. NGC 6164 lies 4,200 light-years away from earth.
