groan...alignment again.

1. If I have the scope pointing north and the alignment is out, which way in the eyepiece will the star move, and which way to I move the wedge to correct?

2. Similarly, If I point east and the alignment is out, which way will the star move in the eyepiece and which way do I move the wedge to correct?

Simple question...simple answer?

Baz.

North - you adjust the altitude only.
East - you adjust the azmith only.

I'd suggest not thinking in terms of "in the eyepiece". If the star drifts, use the scope's hand controller to move the star back to the centre. Which way did you slew the telescope? N,S,E or W? That's the direction you need to know. If you start thinking "in the eyepiece" you will likely get confused by various optical systems and conflicting explanations etc.

See attachment for details, this is what I never leave home without.

Hope it helps

Also remember for East, closes to the Horizon (< 40 degrees) East = Elevation adjustments and these are the easiest adjustment, always simply correct the star back to the centre of the cross hairs. For your North (versus think East but pointing right up), adjust your East / West bearings, but only to correct drift in Declination not Right Ascention).
