Crux & Centaurus some bright objects

Given my suburban location its nice sometimes just to have fun and image the really bright objects.

Alpha Centauri
Acrux AB-C
Beta Crucis (Mimosa) and carbon star DY Crucis
Gacrux
Jewel Box (the yellow star is the red supergiant and slow irregular variable DU Crucis)
Proxima Centauri comparison between 2016 & 2023 showing the star's motion

I'm impressed by the Proxima C. position compare.
It's nice to see some scientific imaging.

Great, clear captures, Richard. Thanks for sharing.

I secured a good, clear image of Proxima last year with the intention of try for what you have achieved. I hope I can remember to take the follow up image!!!

Very cool Richard. Did any other stars in the Proxima field show any movement?

Hi Mike,

I checked the images. Nothing obvious I could detect in the immediate vicinity.

Thanks everyone.

Someone else on this site has been following Proxima and producing great comparison images. So, I thought I would give it a try as well.

Richard.
