So while the AM5 rig has been capturing some more appropriate DSO's with the big telescope, I broke out the ol' HEQ5, mounted up the OSC and camera lens and looked to the north. Night after night it captured the photons that managed to make their way through atmosphere and light dome to reach the sensor. because of the imaging scale, I didn't have to throw away too many subs.

The quality and resolution is not what i am used to with the Narrowband setup, but it has been a good exercise none-the-less. I'm not sure if my (perceived?) quality issues are coming from the lens, the OSC, my processing, or the difficult shooting conditions - it barely reaches +30 degres above the horizon, and traverses directly through my worst light dome)
