Rho - Should I have more hydrogen?

Hi All,

I shot this recently and was wondering if I should have been able to extract more red hydrogen. I didn't capture anything with my l-extreme but compared to some of the other images I have seen, even unfiltered - they seem to have more red?

2600mcp, 4.5hour, 300sec exposures, Rokinon 135mm@f2.0, Bortle 2, Unfiltered

Thanks!

No. that looks about right. It's not a heavy Ha area.

Greg.

I agree with Greg here Rory, there is not a great deal of Ha in this area to be had. I think that the colour balance in your image is excellent with the only recommendation being to maybe lift the saturation just a tad.

Rory, that's a great image of Rho, the details in the gas & dust are fantastic and the colours are excellent.

Oh, and a B2 location? We are jealous...

Cheers,
V
