A Walk In The Park To M83

Very impromptu observing hour this evening
Quite some time ago l purchased a pier for my tripod but it didn't quite fit my Exos2 setup. So with no plan to observe due to very light and whispy cloud and far too early for bed, l revisited the pier, mount and tripod and hey presto, it all fits with only some minor metal filing and a hacksaw of shortening a lug.
Cool, better test out the ergonomics quickly. Guess lcould grab an eyepiece while I'm at it, just the 30,25 and 10 and two Barlow's.
Ergonomics makes everything so easy
Look, the eastern sky is clear, jump from Menkent, up to 286, 2 and then 1 Centauri, up and across the same distance from Menkent to 286C and oh look, M83.
Wasn't that easy! 2" 30mm @×40 l could pick out where it was. 60 and 80 x with the smaller EP's was good, the barlow made it to dark and hard to focus at 120x.
When you're not bent backwards doubled over and sideways, observing is so much easier and figuring out which way is up comes naturally haha.
Happy days.

Very satisfying when it all comes together. I can still remember my first sighting of M83. Thanks for sharing.
