Takahashi FS-78 & Case - as close to new as you'll ever get
Selling scope and case separately but would prefer that they go together.
This was my brother's scope that he purchased in 1999 around the time I purchased an FS-102.
I did a quick look the night it was delivered, and it's since sat in its' case all those years and was never used.
I purchased it off him 2 years ago. I really didn't want to see this scope go as it is truly superb. But, I've only had it out twice in the last 2 years, for a quick look (so only used 3 times in total). I just don't know whether I'll ever manage to use it and am currently working towards downsizing everything I own. So, it needs to go and be used and enjoyed.
$1550 - FS-78 OTA + Cap + 7 x 50 finder with Tak reticle illuminator + Clamshell + scope extension tubes and aluminium end plug (Mount, EP's etc. not included) - The screws holding the finder scope have taken the paint off the finder scope tube in a couple of spots (look like small grey dots). This isn’t noticeable unless you take the finder tube out of its ring.
$350 - Pelican case (case and inner padding only). Note: Case will not be sold until the scope is.
Will consider respectable offers. Will post at buyer's expense but prefer pickup.
