First light Askar 130mm M83

I have not been well but finally put the new gear all together and did some testing in less than ideal conditions last night and the night before. .Moon and moisture and still some adjustments to take care of...

Asker 130mm.
ZWO Harmonic Mount.
ZWO 2600 mono.
ZWO filter wheel.
ZWO OAG with ZWO mini camera.

LRBG 120 second exposures less than an hour usable... discarded two thirds because guiding kept losing the guide star due to the seeing... however happy to have it all basically working. OAG worked great but it cant go thru cloud.

Photo Shop got a work out on the result from Startools because I used Red subs to make up most of my luminance. In fact each channel was made up of various channels...I was more interested in just running something really...

So it is an odd image.

Nice to see you back at it Alex. Nice effort, and I see you managed to pick up a couple of outlier galaxies as well, maybe PGC 48132, and
PGC 724525.

Nice work Alex top capture mate . Sounds like a top rig Set up you have assembled that's sure to bring a few cloudy nights. The 130 looks like a nice bit of kit

Great to see you back in action again Alex. For a first light with new gear and all the tweaking that will need to be done, that's a great image.

Cheers,
V

Alex,
A great first light with your new scope and that brilliant camera
Some excellent detail exposed in the spirals and core region of M83
Well done indeed !!
Hopefully this image will lift your spirits and push on regardless ( like you have always done in the past )

Best always
Martin

Alex-
You must be pleased with your M83 shot here- plenty to like with nice detail.
Quality setup you have there which I’m sure you will have much fun with.

Nice one.
