The swan takes a dive

Hi again everyone....
Its good to see some cloud free nights lately all but the wind and the horrible seeing conditions. Done lots of widefield shots as way to windy but last night all seemed very quiet and still.
Setup everything to do the Lagoon and swan neb...but in the end I gave up as the seeing was really bad making the stars very soft. Quiet a few times the guidestar was no more than a blur 8 sec or so across..So I will have to wait for better conditions up here and stick to some more widefield shots..
Ok guys and gals, image is 8 x 5 min with DF removed and processed in PS CS.
With my canon 300d (modded) and 6" f/5.6 newt..Didn`t come out too bad I think...Next time I will nail that bird...
Cheers Gary

You've done a terrific job Gary, lovely colours, you've controlled noise very very well and the composition is great.
Well done.

I know what you mean about the seeing though, not ideal conditions by any means lately.

Thanks Guys for that, I never noticed there was a bit of reflection neb with M17. Have to try a deeper exposure of the bird when the seeing is good. Stars can out twice there usuall size.
Not much noise in the image as it was quiet cold that night..maybe 5-C...nearly a houghy`s cooled camera....lol
Anyways cheers and CS
