Rho Ophiuchi complex and the Blue Horsehead

Hi all

This is a work in progress, an image I hope to improve with more integration time if ever the skies should clear.

Nice image! I've captured each target individually, each time using mosaics to cover the field of view, but never both together. Sometimes it's good to back off the focal length a bit!

Hi Greg,

Thank you for your comment!. The exposure details were 90-minute exposure composed of 30 x 180sec, at ISO1600, using a Canon 6D and Canon 70-200mm Mk2 L series lens set to 140mm f/4. So, a relatively short exposure.

Really nice Paul. The contrast is lovely and I love all the star patterns in this widefield shot. One for the pool room for sure!

Hi Rollyrk,

Thanks! Glad you like it The exposure time was 90-minutes comprised of 30x180sec using iso1600 on my modded Canon 6D mk1 looking through a Canon L series 70-200mm zoom lens set to 140mm f4 all riding on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer star tracker.

I like the colour of this image but maybe turn down the saturation a little. Nice to capture the entire area though.

As colourful as it is, its the dust that I find most impressive in this image... its kind of thick and sweet looking, gives the image 3D pop.
