Spot the Starship Challenge!

Late tonight SpaceX is going to try and launch the Starship test vehicle. The flight path will dip down over South Africa before easing back to the north, passing overhead between Australia and PNG before splashing down in the Pacific off Hawaii. There is a good chance it might be visible from Australia, in the northern sky transiting from west to east. Expect it around 40 minutes after launch, is my guess, as they are predicting one hour to splash down. So here is the challenge, can you see it? Even better can you photograph it? Good luck. Remember it has black heat tiles on the side oriented for re-entry, so it might be difficult. But it is a big sucker. Good luck. Post any photos here.

Well Don't bother looking for the Starship. It failed to reach its designed flight path, and the booster separation did not happen as planned, resulting in the trigger of the flight termination system at high altitude.

Not sure I believe that, as the airspace (Notice to Airmen, Notam) and sea space (Notice to Mariners,) were closed for the launch. Certainly a commercial airliner would not be in the exclusion zone. NASA had a high altitude chase plane taking video but that's the only exception to the closure.

Your spot on
I watched it again and the camera doesn’t move up with the rockets flight path gaining altitude , it’s pretty much stationary , a bit of a give away
Great view all the same
