Got it in the post today -as I am sure other subscribers did-and in the write up on the SPSP by Greg Bryant, Mike and Robby got a mention, as did Ice In space.
observing challenge for May will be to find me in the SPSP group photograph (for John (xstream) , Rod(star) , Robby and Mike(ice) who were at SPSP)
Particularly liked the Saturn images in this issue
Narayan I edited your thread title (it said Space instead of Telescope ), and moved it to the S&A forum.
I heard that Greg was writing up the SPSP, looking forward to having a read. I have it on good authority that it will be in the newsagents by Wednesday next week.
It's a shame Rod, Robby and I couldn't make the group photo - we were off galavanting around Mudgee
Narayan - is that you just to the left (your right) of Xstream and Anna??
It's a great write up of the SPSP event, should give a good sense of how much fun it is to those who are thinking they might try it next year.
Regarding the comments in the article about looking through Mike Kerr's scope, I can concur. It was the most AMAZING thing I did the whole weekend, and that alone will get me back there next year!!!
Congrats John (Drummond) on yet another published image. You are running hot at the moment!
Hi y'all, FWIW, in the May issue, the article entitled ' The Quest for Celestial Fire', was submitted by 3 of our W.A.A.C.ers. Dave & Rudi are the 'SUN' nuts. Dave's got a few really nice pics. of the current spot & flares with his new Coronado Ha filter.
He wangled a free trip to the Antarctic in Nov.2003 on the Quantas flight for the total solar eclipse. (lucky b.) L.
