ZWO about to announce a camera with a guide chip?

https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid...21.-2207520000.

From their facebook post today - to be announced April 12th (or is it 15/16 in USA) the picture sure looks like a camera with a separate camera?

Yeah it’s an odd one alright. And a new smaller mount. And an all in one (like Stellina) plus their own branded scopes

That would be very handy for setups with tight backfocus.

Looking at their latest stand set up picture I see the text ASI dual sensor camera, integrated with the guiding camera. I wonder if they will every do On axis guiders (COLD mirrors) and adaptive optics...?

Looks interesting. Probably not for mono setups though but again, could be a killer camera for travel. Not having to take a guide scope/camera/cable along just saves on weight.

One could manufacture specially crafted filters for monochrome cameras, simply by cutting away the glass near the guide camera and having the filter in a rotatable frame, probably with a mask at the edge to eliminate stray light onto the imaging sensor. Copyright JA
