Hyades Widefield

Latest image from my ASI6200/Canon EF200mm lens combination being of the Hyades star cluster in Taurus. Data captured in December just gone and processed in Pixinsight 1.8.9.

I particularly like this field as it has quite a selection of interesting objects from red giant stars to Herbig-Haro objects to clouds of interstellar dust.

Link to image on Astrobin here.
Full acquisition details can be found in Astrobin post.

Comments and critique welcome.

Clear skies,
Rodney

Lovely field Rodney and what a lens. The Astobin post is a joy to the eye. Colours look spot on to me, not over saturated and that dark dust structure with the bright nebula in the middle looks like a lone flame within the coals of a dying camp fire. Nicely done!

Thanks Michael and Leon. The Herbig-Haro objects in the image do stand out and catch the eye.

Great image Rod, its usually just a group of stars, that look like an upside down bulls head ..that we use to herald the pending arrival of summer, I can't remember the last time I saw an image that had this cluster as the hero of the dish, I really like it, lovely, good composition too

Thanks everyone. There is no doubting that the appearance of the Pleiades and then Taurus on the eastern horizon seems like turning the corner into summer, bringing with it a number of northerly objects to image.
