Hi John,
The blue line is the instantaneous value of the seeing in arc seconds. The lower the value the better. Many of the amazing solar images seen on the forums & in the French solar book are taken in sub 1 arc second seeing. You can definitely observe the difference if you are watching the preview image and the SSM graph at the same time. The yellow line is the average seeing. As long as there are at least some low periods you have a chance with lucky imaging.
