CPC800 XLT + case and extras

Hi folks- after much deliberation I've decided to put up my beautiful CPC800 for sale. This scope is probably responsible for getting me addicted to this hobby, and although I've had it for quite a number of years it's been well looked after and is in great condition. With a number of other setups now I am in the unfortunate position of having to clear some space .

I've had some absolutely wonderful nights out with this, and under dark sky provides excellent views of even quite faint dso's, but because of it's dual-fork setup it is very capable of handling even the heaviest 2" eye pieces (as opposed to single-arm mounts that get quite unstable). It's able to do very accurate GOTOs across the sky and when I had it paired with a Starsense it was faultless. And yet it can be set up completely in a few minutes - one of the easiest setups I've ever had to contend with!

Even though it's an Alt-Az mount, I've used it quite a bit for EAA to great effect. Taking 10-20sec unguided shots and live-stacked really opens up the sky in the most fantastic way, even from the heavy light polluted suburbs. Because the mount is so stable, I was able to get quite reasonable results and you can find some of my posts on this forum.

The scope comes with a very heavy duty aluminium case with storage for other items as well. This case is built to survive almost anything and has been very useful during transport, and also effectively keeps the scope cool even when stored in the hot car. I think the case itself was close to a $1000.

Included with the sale:
CPC800- OTA, mount and tripod
aluminium case
dew shield
power cable, data cable, pc connect cable
Hand control + bracket
1.25" visual back
1.25" diagonal
50mm finder scope (incl bracket but no rings sorry)

All in good condition with just some minor scuffing on tripod legs. Note also while GPS unit does work (tested this week) but is sometimes glitchy (a known error for which I believe there is a firmware update) - but it didn't really impact me so never bothered with it.

Looking to sell for $2200 ONO. Pickup Sydney.
Postage may be possible but the weight is going to make this quite expensive...

PM for any other questions - happy to help you out!
Thanks for looking
