Two Widefields

Because of the weather being so dismal we've been going through some of our earlier widefield shots. We've had plenty of time getting used to using Photoshop7. So here are the results.

This is our first time at stacking in DSS

Pentax ist DL on EQ5 mount

50 mm lens 3 images stacked in DSS

1 X 60 sec ISO 800
1 X 4min ISO 400
1 X 6min ISO200

Coalsack Crux and Omega Centauri

Size:	110.6 KB

200mm lens Single shot

1 X 30 sec ISO 1600

Omega Centauri

The Coal Sack images were very dark so we hadn't bothered to try and process them. But once we got used to using PS a bit more we have learn't how to bring out more detail. Similar to what you did with the horsehead

Very nice stuff guys.
I'm scared to do exposures over 30secs!!
You've inspired me to break the 60second mark!!!
Keep 'em coming (weather permitting)
Cheers
Doug

Thanks Doug

More precise alignment helped us get over the 30sec on the mount but alignment is a constant struggle once you get to doing prime focus
