A work in progress NGC 1566
Hello folks,
Capture, lights flats darks flatdarks using NINA
LIghts 24 10 minute subs at gain 3
Image centered using Sitech Platesolve 3 and then goto with CDC
process in APP and touch up with Nebulosity.
Resized with Gimp for IIS
Camera QHY8l
Mount Mesu mount Mk1
Telescope Takahashi Mewlon 250
Planetarim CDC

Very nice work, Chris. I do like a good galaxy image.
Can't wait to see how it turns out with more data to bump up the colours.
How did you get the JWST-like diffraction spikes? (I presume a 3-armed spider on your scope?)

Thank you for looking gentlemen. When the sky and time permit another six hours of data will be collected.. V, the older Mewlon 20 have three spider vanes.

Good work. I found it a somewhat difficult object to capture so you have done extremely well...I also think the spikes are wonderful.
