8th Jan Solar images.

8th Jan. A reasonable sky - two images shown.
First image is at 540 nm to show the sunspots and changes from yesterday.
Second image is at Halpha (656 nm) to show the SE sector and the AR 3182 which seems to be developing. AR 3181 is also developing.
Both single exposures with Canon 550d.

Another good morning John. Interesting developments. Did you notice the height of the northern prom this morning? According to our measurements it is about 150,000 km tall.
