Corona Australis Molecular Cloud - Widefield

This was my first experience/first light doing remote imaging from a truly Dark Sky Reserve from Swan Reach Imaging Services.

This was also first light using the combination of the Askar ACL200 and the ASI6200MC. I do like the 200mm focal length and the sturdiness of the lens.

This was about 22 hours of data (300sec x 265)

Stunning. The sheer density of stars is gobsmacking and that beautiful trailing dust

Thank you again. I do like the ease of acquiring data and processing a one shot colour. I was getting a little down-heartened doing mono and 'complex' preprocessing to get an image to process over the last few years but thank goodness for the batch preprocessing in PI... At least it allowed me some affirmation that I can acquire data and that the data is worth processing!

A most excellent, natural looking image, of a beautiful object Jarrod, seeing most of the extended trail of dust this object displays is very cool I have my FSQ106 and 37mmX37mm chip CCD but seeing images like this really makes me want a wider field kit, great job....the one shot description sounds attractive too...

Lovely work Jarrod. All you images are benefitting from being taken out at Swan Reach Imaging. Dark and still skies make a huge difference to processing. Love the colour and detail.
