Sun images 27 December 2022

This morning we were happy to see no clouds but with a hot day forecast (38C) we didn't spend too much time imaging. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the seeing was better than in recent days and relatively stable. First are full disk images taken in Ha and 540nm.
Then there is a comparison of the active regions AR3171 & AR3169 in the NW in Ha and 540nm. Followed by a comparison of active regions AR3176 & AR3173 in the NE in Ha and 540nm. Finally are some prominences on the SW limb in Ha only.

Great post Clare & Peter, your 540 nm images are outstanding. Only rain and clouds up here in Brisbane.

Thanks for the feedback Martin.
We feel that our 540nm images have improved since using our new ASI174MM. Sorry to hear that your weather is not co-operating. Unfortunately we are heading into the same situation for the next little bit.

Good close ups Peter and Clare. Hopefully conditions will cool today (Weds). Cheers John W.

Thanks John.

Certainly a lot cooler today but plenty of those pesky clouds to spoil the view. Ah well, you can't have everything
