35,000 Apollo images restored

Photo restorer Andy Saunders has reworked 35,000 photos from the Apollo missions that had been stored in a locked NASA freezer until now.

The images feature in a new book, Apollo Remastered.

35,000 astronaut happy snaps, I didn't think it would be that many, but over 11 manned missions I guess so.

A bit of trivia; there are only 5 images of Neil Armstrong on the moon, 3 if you don't count reflections. Fast forward to 2022 and people take more selfies just having breakfast.

I think this may include extracting stills from movie camera film.

There are two books. Same author but different sizes, weights, number of pages, publisher and cost. One is pre-order.

Search Apollo Remastered at bookdepository

I ordered mine from Amazon UK as Aussie sellers were saying November/December. I mean WTF?!

Sure enough, it arrived about 10 days after release. It sure is heavy

Wonderful imagery and post-processing.
