Mars & Deimos

Normally I would try imaging the moons of Mars with my 12-inch scope but thought I would try with my 6SE. Phobos was behind Mars when I took this image. So will try again when they are well separated from Mars.

Great effort. We have not managed to capture either of Mars' moons with our 6" SCT. Well done.

Nice work Richard- I’ve had a little look around in the background of some of my mars shots with curves adjustment and haven’t been able to find any moons so I think you’ve done very well!
