I am guessing here that you were not guiding? A little bit of star trailing, otherwise a great image from the DSI..

No, I was not guiding, I never do, so yes, i did get a little bit of trailing and I think I may have over-brightened the luminance layer.

Go to www.nicksastronomy.com/clusters.php to compare this one with the one from last year, I think I like it better.

Nick, beautiful clusters dude! very nice colour in the Jewl Box too.
If you are interested you can tidy up the stars using layers and the Offset filter in PS !

Hi Nick, nice capture and some great colour as well. Do you use the IP software that came with your DSI, it has a group alignment tool which should help with the trailing stars.

Cheers

Louie, I'm planning on removing the trails of the stars ASAP. Thanks!

Thanks, Rich. I am learning about drift alignment.

Ric, Yes, I do use the software that came with the DSI Pro II.
I do use that feature alos. The trails are actually caused by drift in the 8seconds that the CCD is capturing per frame, i dont have the best tracking...
