Just a reminder, Bretti sits at the junction if two small rivers, and with the amount of rain falling and forecast for that catchment, moisture and condensation will be a fact in the evening. I agree that ground saturation could be a problem if camping. I recall photos of the river having risen up the farm driveway over the causway. Just keep an eye on conditions out Gloucester way, before venturing out.
Just rang mid coast council tourist information who said the reserve is open, no flood warnings for the area in immediate future, but it will be wet and muddy.
The weather is expected to "fine up" during the coming week, but it will be a bit on the soggy side.
Your call
I'm erring on the side of caution at this point.
Last thing I want is to be bogged, without phone coverage.
Today, Sydney was hammered with rain, at least east coast of Sydney.
I spoke to Gloucester office which looks after Bretti and I was told that it's open but it could be soggy ground, he said.
He also said the rivers are fine.
The weather looks very good for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There shouldn't be much rain from this afternoon.
Anyway, if anyone wants to come most likely I'll be there from Friday midday till Sunday.
Also I will be watching weather conditions there for next few days if to abandon the trip.
