SW scope rings inverted ??

Hi

I want to use my SW ED80 (gold version) scope rings upside down on the dovetail bar so that I have the rectangular base on top of the OTA and I can mount a very nice SvBony handle (that also holds the guider). The Vixen bars are dished and the round attachment points do not sit as confidently on the bar, although they do tighten up.
Anyone successfully used this configuration for imaging?
I don’t have a way to mill two flats on the bar itself
