Moon in normal and saturated colour

Hi guys

This moon shot was taken on the 5th May, a few days past full.

It has been processed twice, once desaturated and once with aggressive saturation.

I used my 350D, 17-70mm Sigma lens, hand-held and taken afocally pointing into a 32mm GSO plossl eyepiece, through my 12" newtonian on an EQ6.

Lens focal length = 17mm, ISO400 at f/5.6, 1/400s exposure.

Other processing included levels, curves, contrast and sharpening.

Thanks for looking.

Well done Mike. I like the Moon with a bit of colour in it. Just seems to make it look better.
Cheers

Nice one Mike, I have not tried that yet.

Did you use the lens in Macro mode? and did that help at all?

Is there no end to this man's talent? A terrific illustration of the colouration visible on our close neighbour.

Cheers
