Sun images from Melbourne 21 August 2022

Quite a sunny morning but a fair number of clouds to image between. The sun is quietening down a little again with nothing new coming in on the east at the moment. AR3078 is all but gone and AR3081 is getting closer to the limb.
Full disk Ha images taken with Daystar Solar Scout 60 double stacked with Lunt 40 etalon, ASI178MM camera and 0.5 reducer.
Close up Ha images taken with 72ED, Solar Scout Quark and ASI178MM.

Nicely done Clare and Peter, more fantastic solar shots produced by you guys, great detail. Got to take advantage of these rare opportunities of clear skies we've had in Melbourne of late.

Thanks a lot Michael. Yes, it doesn't pay to be too choosy with the weather at the moment
