Jupiter + Ganymede 4/5/07

Maybe there is something in this collimation bizzo after all.

Got home from work early today and spent 1.5 hours collimating the scope in daylight (so much easier). Anyway I ended up having to shim one side of the focuser because when the secondary was centred in the tube it was way off looking down the focuser.

Here is tonights test run on Jupiter. Ganymede is also visible and was just about to start a pass over Jupiter.

Coming along nicely Andrew.

If the weather holds out till tomorrow night (Sunday) I will set up my scope in the back yard and you are welcome to wander around with the ToUcam (and your laptop and scope if you want to as well) for some planetary imaging.
