Some of new kit arrived.

I have a lot to learn after being away from astro photography for well over a decade. The mount will take a few more days..

The built quality of this little scope , brilliant. I had to take a handheld of course in daylight, expecting, well not much, but wow....

How tech has changed...Hand held at 250, No Image stabilization used, tack sharp image..

It will be fun I,m sure...

Is that the 51 or 71? Either way, nice one. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment from it.

People in your neck of the woods will have you to thank for the weeks of upcoming rain as well, now that you've got new gear

Hey Adam , down south are getting the rain we normally get, climate change yeah maybe.. but we have had the driest march I can remember.. Seasons seem to get later and later, and sometimes do not arrive at all... Its a 51 on Z6. Portability is important to me in case it ever rains...

Good on you Shawn
It looks unbelievable and I am confident you will be blown away with the results you achieve...I bet you will do better with your new set up than with that long fl 14 inch monster you had ... and for wild life it should be a magic set up.

Yesterday was the first time I was able to leave the place here as the constant rain made my drive mush ...and I have been confined for over two weeks..I have lost track of time..went to Tabulam with the top down enjoying the rare Sunlight and picked up a box from Bintel with lots of important stuff to use if it ever stops raining...oh its raining again right now so I am stuck for who knows how long.

Yes Alex, a bit of a learning curve with the camera, I can see that some time in the future I will be looking at a lens or two for it. Hope the weather clears for ya old mate. As Adam mentioned you and I got new stuff, of course its going to rain...

I'm not entirely sure how I am going to fit a a poor mans jiggle free fine focus to it yet though...
