Funny that you posted this at this time I'm ordering some right now! One thing is for sure they make telescope building that little easyer. You don't have to work out the angle for the holes in the truss blocks!
Rod ends would also solve the angle issue - just bolt them on. (NB: I have no idea how much they cost or whether they're already used in truss Dobs.) Plastic ones might be cheap.
Rob - these are what the binoscope that you saw at SPSP uses. Both the builder (Paul) and Mark Suchting specify these when anyone asks their ATM advice in reference to a complex truss system like that for a bino. They are utterly repeatable, and locate exactly the same time after time according to Mark. I'm ordering a set very soon for my own bino.
