Meade DSI What Software - Lost CD

Hi All,

I have on loan from a very good mate Kal, a Meade DSI to try out. Unfortunately the CD has been misplaced and so can someone tell me where I can download the software and drivers. I belive its called Autostar suite. But am not sure what I need to download and from where. The Meade site seems only to have an update.

Regards
Fahim

Hi Fahim, the Meade 4M site has the updates only. You actually do need the CD to initially upload the files and drivers, any version is fine because you can the upgrade at the 4M site, they will ask you to join before you can download but it's free so that's ok.
Dont use the "Astronomer version" CD as it only has the planetarium software, you need the CD that says "Software and Installation Disk" with a version number underneath it.

Cheers

What does one do if it is lost?
Would a similar CD from a DSI Pro camera also contain the needed driver and software?

Hi Fahim,
If you can borrow or burn one you should be right. I believe that all the DSI's run the same software and then it's just a matter of upgrading it.
Are you able to borrow one from someone in your area?

Cheers

PS: If you cant get hold of one I can post you a full copy of version 3, just PM me your address and I'll pop it in the snail mail
