I've been fairly slack in posting this ad but I'm finally getting there. I have a 2005 Mewlon 250-S with installed corrector. This makes it optically identical to the current Mewlon 250-CRS but with a few mechanical differences.
I've been using this for a few years (mostly photographically with some visual thrown in) and been amazed by the level of detail I've been able to achieve. I have 60s subs approaching 1.1" resolution taken from my backyard and dark site with multiple nights imaging with stacked images below 1.6".
Although this model does have focus via the secondary mirror controlled by a hand controller, unlike the new CRS model it doesn't have a RS-232 port for computer controlled focus. I've been using a FLI PDF for a few years and been very happy with the setup so I'll be offering this with the focuser as I've got the adapters for it and it allows fast and reliable auto focusing. I have a number of adapters for the PDF, some original FLI ones and some Precise Parts ones.
It comes with a Scope Guard case, original 2" eye piece holder Losmandy D plate and Takahashi rings.
Looking for $8,000 for the lot. Would prefer someone in Vic, happy to meet half way for some of those people further from Melbourne. It would be very expensive to post given its weight!
