Solar Activity February 7

Just managed to get some time to process yesterday’s images. Seeing was poor and estimated at about 3/10’s. Imagery was taken in both Ha and Ca II K featuring current Solar activity in addition to that beautiful prominence observed in both wave lengths.

Fine set of images Gerard, really like the full disc ones, probably because I can't with my set up.

Thanks guys your comments are much appreciated. Yes the Sun has well and truly woken up. Let’s hope there will be more activity for all of us to view soon.

A really great set of images. Like the scale earth image, just gives an impression of the sheer size of what we are seeing

Thanks Clare and Peter. Yes I agree. Planet Earth puts things into perspective showing the enormity of that prominence. Good to see that CME was heading out away from our planet.
