Sun images from Melbourne 10/2/2022

The clouds finally departed this afternoon but the seeing was pretty appalling. We wanted to try a new white light filter for our 6" SCT, so took these images. First time this scope has had the sun's photons directly. It's had plenty of reflected ones up til now

While we were there we also took a quick full disk with the Lunt 40. Definitely not its best image.

Thanks Bob ... as we love your work. We check for your post each morning to know what's happening and work out what we should look to image.
